PLUMBEARY

Plumbeary is a children’s book that teaches kids about the act of sharing. The project is a collaborative effort between two other classmates. Stephanie Gilmour is the author, Carolyn Johnson took care of the layout & typography, and I handled all the spot illustrations & patterns.

The goal of this book was to create a simple and fun book for young children who are beginning to read. The serif font is 28pt with a small amount of copy on each page which helps make the reading process as simple as possible. The illustrations aren’t too busy, allowing the child to easily understand what’s happening in the story.

Plumbeary would ultimately be sold in small book stores for parents to purchase and read the story to their children before bedtime.
